We are so excited to introduce our latest project, #menlocottage. This charming home was once a carriage house and was built in 1932. Our client purchased the home for her mother, affectionately called Ama, and we began renovation plans immediately. The most exciting part was that we did not share any of the design plans with Ama so reveal day was especially surprising and emotional! The goal with this home was to keep the charm and character in tact while introducing some more modern, bold and fun elements.

The Primary Suite
The primary bathroom is one of our favorite transformations in the home! The first step for our team on any renovation project is to properly space plan for the client's needs. This bathroom was designed with aging in place in mind, so we removed the existing large tub and opted for a curbless shower. By reworking the existing layout, we were able to create a double vanity that we dressed up with beautiful reeded details and a soft edge of the marble countertop. The highlight of this bathroom is the hand painted marble tile above the entire vanity and complemented with a dark green large scale penny tiles on the floor.

The bedroom received a makeover as well, with a moody but sophisticated wallpaper, new lighting and window covering and all new furnishings.
